Student associations

Mendel University in Brno supports student associations such as:



International student club (ISC)

ISC assists foreign students studying in any international program of Mendelu University. The club is managed in close collaboration with the university International Relations Office and Educational Office offeres many activities to support the international community at Mendel University.



Student's chamber of the Academic Senate

Student's chambre is a group of student representatives in the Academic Senate. The representatives help other students to deal with issues concerning their student life. They get in touch with the university representatives and defend the interests of students in various university bodies such as the Rector's Council.

                                                                                                     


Student Union of the Faculty of Bussines and Economics

The Student Union covers many different interests and members of the Union can actively or passively participate in social events and fully enjoy their university life.



The Association of Students' of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology

This students association is independent organization open to all students from Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology that organizes many extramural activities. SPFLD consists of the following sections: LEF (the faculty student journal published four times a year, which organizes literary and arts competitions and conferences, may be found at Floowie), Green Club (student club), Wood (exhibitions, art competitions), Forestry Versatility (international contest focused on forestry and wood technology), the annual Ball of the Faculty, Hunting Club (active mainly at Forest Training Enterprise Křtiny).



Green Student Club

Green Student Club, located in the J. A. Komenský halls of residence, is run by the Student Association of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology. However, it is not limited to the Association members or students of this faculty. Traditional Monday disco nights, Tuesday lectures on travelling or discussions with interesting personalities and Wednesday "super" concerts are among regular social events. Theatre performances and watching sports events on a large screen are planned, too. The club is open from Sunday to Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight. Both disco nights and concerts start at 8:00 p.m., concerts usually finish at 11:30 p.m.
